I support hospital and home birth. Depending on the sanitary measures/rules you can have 2 persons supporting you for baby birth at the hospital.

You have to choose one person at a time, meaning only one person can enter the delivery room at a time. Which means that if you have your partner and a doula, we will have to change during labor, we can not be at the same time in the room.

I support home birth, when you have a midwife to support you also.

I don’t do any medical or clinical acts, and I don’t provide any medical urgency treatment for the pregnant woman or the baby.

Every birth process is unique and therefore having the experience of a Doula to guide you allows you to go through this journey with more ease.

A doula is not emotionally attached to the person she supports and have a knowledge about birth/post partum physiology, that the partner does not have. Also most of the women I support find that their partner is more involved in the process when they have a Doula there to guide them on how to best provide support.

In Portugal there is no regulation about the doula practice. There are allowed to work but are not attached to the health national system.

I am certified by a doula support specialist training program, called Materlua, that make part of the European Doula Network.

If it is necessary we can speak about a payment plan.

For the birth and post partum support you can pay by 3 times.

The payment can be made by cash, transfer or mbway.

I mainly work in Porto, Vila Nova de Gaia and Espinho. But I also cover the North between Viana do Castelo and Ovar, and from Braga to Guimarães. Also for pregnancy support it can be online, from everywhere.
